Traditionally it has been assumed that battery thermal management systems should be designed to maintain the temperature around room temperature. That is not always true as lithium-ion (LIB) R&D pivoting towards development of high energy density and fast charging batteries. Therefore, necessary have a comprehensive review considerations for LIBs targeted charging, i.e., optimal condition, physics (heat transport generation) inside battery, strategies.
